2nd edition. This set of 35 cards is designed to aid children in learning their sounds. It is for use in Kindergarten, grade 1, & grade 2. These 4 X 5 in. cards are similar to the manuscript wall cards and can be used as flashcards. Each card shows a phonetic sound and a picture of an object whose beginning sound corresponds with the phonetic sound. Cards go along with the Learning to Read LightUnits and are essential for the course. On the back of each card is the rhyme learned to connect the sound with the letter. Vowel cards also have the question, Is this a long or short vowel? This size could be used as wall cards if space is limited.
