Every teacher should study Part 1 in this manual before beginning to teach. Part 2 is the lesson plans. Background information and warm-up ideas are given for each story, as well as discussion suggestions and extra activities. (For this grade, these extra exercises in the teacher’s manual have been made into a consumable student workbook. See item # 14494.) Please note that a separate phonics course should be taught alongside this reading course in grades 1 & 2. Hardcover, 344 pages.
