Neighbors in Latin America Teacher’s Guide
Deluxe wrap-around style. This full-color teacher’s guide includes a reproduction of the Neighbors in Latin America textbook, a CD of additional resource materials, and teacher helps. Daily lesson overviews, objectives, and detailed class presentations enable teachers to successfully teach the course with minimal amount of preparation time. Neighbors in Latin America Textbook (Grade 6)
Neighbors in Latin America is a beautifully illustrated, full-color, hardcover textbook with 398 pages. Units 1-4 cover the first Americans, early conquest, geography, and climate. Units 5-10 divide Latin America into regions and give specific information about the major countries in each region. A limited number of activities appear in the textbook, designed to review only the highlights. For student work activities, choose either the workbook study or the LightUnit study for better coverage of the material. Either option is a full-year course. The LightUnits are designed for more independent study, and the worksheets will require more teacher input.

It enables the teacher to have a flexible schedule and to use their own teaching methods, yet also have written activities to help the student master the concepts in the textbook. Understanding Our Community Textbook (Grade 3)
In this hardcover textbook, students learn about their place in their community. They learn about how food, building materials, etc. come to them, and all the many services a well-run community provides for them. Most illustrations are full color. Each lesson has an exercise for students, and there are review exercise throughout the book. 131 pages; hardcover.
Window to America Student Workbook and Tests
This set of materials includes a consumable coilbound workbook and a packet of tests. These comprise the student work for the Window to America course. The workbook includes a Geography Basics section at the beginning. The main part of the workbook is map work, fill-in-the-blank exercises, essay questions, and multiple choice exercises.
The test packet includes a test on Geography Basics, one test to take at the end of each unit, and a battery of 6 final tests covering different aspects of the study. See the teacher guide for information on how to use the final tests.
Window to America Teacher Guide
This teacher guide contains copies of the student workbook pages and the tests, with answers filled in. It also contains some general information about teaching the course, and it gives some suggestions on how to administer the tests. There are also ideas for extra activities, etc. The teacher will need a copy of the textbook in addition to to this guide.
