Ideas on Paper
This is a little booklet of 60 interesting writing lessons which are not grade specific. The simpler ones are at the beginning of the book, and the more challenging lessons are at the end of the book. This book includes helpful tips for the teacher as well as ideas on grading the lessons. One book per classroom is sufficient. 2011 edition.

This book contains 24 Intermediate lessons and 24 Advanced lessons. Lessons start with lively background information to get the thinking process started, and then students are given a specific assignment. The first three units concentrate on three skills a writer needs: focus, progression, & clarity. The last three units focus on writing to entertain, to inform, and to persuade.
