Sunrise Math grade 1 lays a foundation for many of the major math concepts the student will meet during his lifetime. Each lesson introduces one or more bite-sized new number concepts. Most of the student work consists of continuous review to ensure that the concepts stick. The child experiences math as a whole rather than as isolated skills. Interspersed with basic number skills are forays into geometry, our money system, mental math, and number patterns. Practical story problems relate math to real life. The U.S. and the metric measurement systems are emphasized equally. Daily speed drills, oral drills, and flash-card exercises help cement the basic addition/subtraction facts from 1-20. Enrichment activities with charts, graphs, and statistics related to calendar and weather. Handy teacher notes included with the workbook. Can be used as a math supplement for students in grades 1, 2, or 3.

Students journey to 1,000 by writing ten numbers a day with reward activities at intervals along the way. Correlates with CLE Sunrise Math grade 1. Required component.

This sturdy clock is made of durable plastic. Gears maintain the correct hour and minute relationship and color-coded hour and minute markings make this colorful clock an asset to teaching children to tell time. Optional, for lower grades.

Cards are numbered and tabbed for easy sorting as outlined in the Teacher’s Guides for Grades 1-4. The cards cover the addition and subtraction facts from 0-18. Required for grades 1 & 2.

Math LightUnit 201 reviews concepts that should be adequately mastered in order to succeed in grade 2. It can be used as a diagnostic tool. The remaining nine LightUnits teach new skills and concepts such as telling time, reading simple graphs, adding/subtracting multi-digit numbers with carrying/borrowing, working with money, basic fraction concepts, and measurement in both the U.S. and metric systems. Daily review on the addition/subtraction facts from 1-20 ensures mastery. Multiplication is introduced in Math 206, and by the end of the course, students have memorized the tables for 0, 1, 2, 5, and 10. Each lesson contains a realistic story problem or two using a theme (which varies with each LightUnit) such as pets, grandparents, and springtime. Set of ten LightUnits.

These (3.5 x 5 in.) cards contain all the multiplication and division flash card combinations for 0-12. The reverse side of each multiplication fact is the opposite division fact. These cards are not coded like the addition/subtraction flash cards. For use especially in grades 2 to 4, but can also be used in higher grades.

This durable, two-sided chart contains multiplication tables, symbols, terms, abbreviations, definitions, metric and U.S. tables of measures, geometry examples, inch ruler, centimeter ruler, and more. A glossary of hard-to-remember items at one glance. Recommended for grades 2 – 6.

These worksheets cover concepts in fractions, ratios, and proportions as taught in CLE Sunrise Math grades 2 – 7. Worksheets familiarize students with CLE’s math terminology and methods and help fill in any gaps for students coming in from another math curriculum. Teachers choose sections of the workbook that the student needs to bring him up to mastery level for his grade. Reproducible for classroom use, but not for sale or mass distribution. Separate answer key available.
