Neighbors in Latin America Textbook (Grade 6)
Neighbors in Latin America is a beautifully illustrated, full-color, hardcover textbook with 398 pages. Units 1-4 cover the first Americans, early conquest, geography, and climate. Units 5-10 divide Latin America into regions and give specific information about the major countries in each region. A limited number of activities appear in the textbook, designed to review only the highlights. For student work activities, choose either the workbook study or the LightUnit study for better coverage of the material. Either option is a full-year course. The LightUnits are designed for more independent study, and the worksheets will require more teacher input.

For units 1-5. Worksheets are designed for teachers who want to be actively involved with the learning process. It enables the teacher to have a flexible schedule and to use their own teaching methods, yet also have written activities to help the student master the concepts in the textbook. A two-sided worksheet is assigned for each section in the textbook. The worksheets include a variety of exercises with a strong emphasis on map work. There is one quiz per chapter and one test per unit, with a total of twenty-three quizzes and ten tests.
